Bella's Blooms and Bees: Recent Work

To do this work, I created a base and then started blocking out shapes. One aspect of this work that shocked me is that I used no grid. Whenever I work, especially on a larger scale, I tend to sketch or grid out the work. Here, I just decided to paint freely and I think it is one of the best works I've made in a long time.

This work has also sparked an idea for my senior exhibition in which I now hope to incorporate the botanical side of beekeeping.
